About Us
Mission Statement
Adsis operates to enhance the quality of life for people in the County of Staffordshire who are adversely affected by alcohol and other dependencies through a programme of harm reduction.
Who Are We?
We were established as an alcohol support service 'Staffordshire Alcohol Advisory Service (SAAS)' in 1986.
In 2002 we further developed into alcohol and drug service support and renamed ourselves 'Alcohol & Drug Services in Staffordshire (ADSiS) to reflect the additional drug service provision.
More recently in February 2008 ADSiS again widened its dependency support to also help those with gambling dependencies. Alcohol & Drug Services in Staffordshire then re-branded as just 'Adsis', dropping the acronyms to better reflect wider dependency services with the strap line 'Alcohol and Dependency Specialists'.
Adsis is a registered Charity No. 1047194.
Adsis is a company limited by guarantee. Registered No. 2998681.
What do we do?
Adsis offers free and confidential advice, support and information to anyone affected by their own or someone else's drinking, misuse of other substances or dependencies.
We encourage adoption of non harmful behaviour patterns towards alcohol and other dependency issues to help reduce harmful patterns developing.
We also operate a Workplace Policies Service where we offer businesses the opportunity to review their policies on alcohol and substance misuse within the workplace or create a new policy for them. Associated training and support is also available for both staff and employers. Please click the Adsis Services link and scroll down to Workplace Policies for more information.
