Adsis will deal with drug issues where they are in association with a primary alcohol issue.  There are lots of websites that list the effects of drugs, their legality and risk associated with them.

 

What is a drug problem?

This is a difficult question to answer and despite what many people think a drug problem can be with prescribed medication and/or illegal drugs.

 

People use drugs for different reasons

Social reasons: Drugs may help you feel more confident and be able to talk to people

Emotional reasons: Sometimes people use drugs to change the way we feel, to cheer us up or to help us cope with difficult times

Physical reasons: Drugs may help us relax and unwind


What problems can drugs cause?

  • Physical and /or mental health problems
  • Disruption at work or in education
  • Financial difficulties
  • And increase in accident or injuries
  • Anger or violence
  • Legal problems
