Trustee Board Member

As a registered charity and company limited by guarantee, an Board of Trustees oversees Adsis.

Members of the Board act in a voluntary capacity but do receive out of pocket expenses to attend our meetings.

Our Board of Trustees has the following roles and responsibilities:

  • To formulate and regularly review the strategic aims of the organisation.
  • To ensure that the policies and practices of the organisation are in keeping with its aims.
  • To ensure that the organisation functions within the legal and financial requirements of a charitable organisation and strives to achieve best practice.
  • To promote the objectives of the organisation.

Current members of our Board have a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, but we are always keen to expand the skills mix.  We are particularly keen to recruit Board Members from the Private Sector. We would welcome people with a knowledge and/or experience of alcohol and drug problems, or just a general interest in our work and its impact on the community.

Our full Board meets on a bi-monthly basis, with active sub committees in place to address more detailed issues.

If you are interested in becoming an Adsis Trustee member please contact our Chief Executive Officer on 01889 560550 or email headquarters@adsis.org.uk
